? 地球系统原本是由太阳能和地球内能启动的,而
人类正在成为驱动全球变化的营力之一。由于人
类活动的影响的加剧,全球变化过程正以前所未
有的速度进行着,狭义理解的全球变化主要是指
人类生存环境的恶化。
?人类正在进行一场无计划和无控制的全
球性反常试验,其最终影响可能仅次于
一场全球性的核战争。
?环境趋势正急剧地改变者地球和威胁着
地球上许多物种,包括人类的生命。 —
——,我们共同的未来,

?主要以生物地球化学循环子系统及其与物
理气候子系统的相互作用为主要研究对象,
其科学目标是:了解和阐述控制整个地球
系统的关键的物理、化学和生物相互作用
过程;了解和阐述支持生命的独特环境;
了解和阐述出现在地球系统中受人类活动
影响的重大全球变化。特别是那些时间尺
度为几十年至几百年,对生物圈影响最大,
对人类活动最为敏感,具有可预测性的重
大全球变化问题。

?从社会科学的角度来研究全球变化,力求

总体系统相互作用的复杂原因的科学理解
和认识;第二,不断努力探索预测全球环
境下的社会变化;第三,确定大范围的社
会战略以预防或减轻全球变化的不利影响,
以适应那些无法避免的变化;第四,分析
对付全球环境变化、促进实现可持续发展
的政策与方案。
IHDP研究的主要内容
?第一,全球变化的根源,主要是人为根
源;仔细区分自然趋势和由人类活动所
造成的两类变化。
?第二,由于自然和直接由于人类作用所
引起的变化的后果。
?第三,对全球变化的管理。

性的生态系统功能;( 2)生物多样性的
产生、减少及其维护;( 3)生物多样性
的编目与监测。

础, 1998年由 IGBP提出并得到普遍接受
的全球变化集成研究已成为目前全球变
化研究的主要方向 。 在认识上, 与地理
学一贯强调的综合性思想相对应;在研
究领域上, 与自然地理学有很强的相似
性, 有人甚至称正在进行的国际地圈生
物圈计划的研究计划如同一部自然地理
学大纲 。
3.2.全球变化与 自然地理学的对比
?全球变化研究强调在观测分析与模拟基
础上的过程研究, 通过深化对地球系统
过程的认识, 来增进对地球系统各主要
要素的相互作用的认识, 正是地理学所
一直关注的, 但同时也是十分薄弱的环
节, 远较自然地理学基于现象对应关系
的相关研究更深刻 。

?当前全球变化研究的一个重要特点是重
视人类活动所导致的全球变化和全球变
化对人类的生存与发展的影响, 把人类
活动看成是全球变化的驱动因子之一,
同时把全球变化看做是实现可持续发展
