Information on registering Buddy API. The UCD version is for use with any version of Authorware. The Xtra version can be used with Director 5.0 or later, and Authorware 4.0 and later. Buddy API is available in a number of different versions. There are no runtime or royalty fees. The price covers any number of developers working for the same company/organisation at one location. However, email support will only be provided through one person at that location. Educational institutions and students may use the Authorware UCD version without charge. If you believe you are entitled to use the UCD version, contact me at gary@mods.com.au for a UCD registration number. Direct e-mail support is not provided for these users. Students wishing to use the Xtra version should contact me for details. Educational institutions wishing to use Buddy API Xtra in classroom situations should contact me at gary@mods.com.au for information about pricing. Commercial use of the UCD requires the purchase of the Limited Edition, which will then include support by e-mail. The Unregistered Version allows you to use any two functions from the Xtra in any one projector or packaged application. The Limited Edition costs $US 80 or $AUD 140 (plus 10% GST for Australian residents). In this version, the Xtra allows you to call any seven functions in any projector or packaged application. Each function can be called multiple times. A full version of the UCD/U32 is also included. Support is provided by e-mail. The Full Version costs $US 160 or $AUD 280 (plus 10% GST for Australian residents). This contains a fully unlocked version of both the Xtra and the UCD/U32. Support is provided by e-mail. After you have registered, you will be provided with a code to unlock the Xtra and UCD by email. To keep prices as low as possible, disks and printed manuals are not provided. However, if your company or organisation requires that you receive something 'physical', please get in touch and I will arrange to have disks delivered. Future upgrades will be made available for download free of charge. For detailed information on registering, please visit http://www.mods.com.au/budapi On-line registration is available.
